Rob graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in philosophy. He obtained his law degree from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in 1994. In 1995, he came to Alaska with a plan to stay for a year and never left. He began his practice with Middleton & Timme, P.C., where he focused on complex litigation in both state and federal courts. In 2007, he left Middleton & Timme to form Sato & Sato with his wife, Jeannie. His litigation practice now includes divorce, custody, and other family law matters.
